Check out this 1/10 pan car from Germany. Its got a molded carbon fiber tub chassis and front brakes! The chassis also looks like it has an upsweep to create a diffuser effect:

The thread I got this from is here (http://www.moosi-masters.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=9111#9111) , its in German. It was said this about the car: "The 4wheel brake car was designed by Christian Bresser and built by Peter Plumacher (multiple times german 1/10th F1 master), by hand!
The car isn't really doing that well yet. It's somewhat overweight, and the 4w brake isn't optimal yet.

The ground effect part of the car works well though.
It's a real functional addition to the car's handling."

Nic Case and I have talked about this at length (front brakes on a 2wd car).

My idea is to use a TC4 front end and mount a single dics brake to the output that would normally be driven by the center shaft.

The brake would only need to do a little to help alot. However, the added weight is an issue. Of course for top speed running, the weight is not such a big deal. :)

I saw the new Serpent F180 1/8th F! car being driven at the weekend. It has a .28 motor with rear wheel drive and 4 wheel braking. mark Green (Pre World champ 1/8th) said he can drive it about 1 sec a lap slower than his 1/8th car!!!

There is going to be a UK series next year for them. I can't wait!

I think it's a could idea. Kinda like a real drag cars. Hold a brake and still spin rear tires for the burnout. If anything it would be cool to mod just for show but might not be practicle for a world record breaking car due to weight issues. :)

Stopping a rear wheel drive top speed car with rear wheel brakes only is not nearly as easy as front brakes. It does add weight, though. But, the car is much easier to drive (stop) with front brakes. Rear brakes make the car pitch sideways.

O agree with u there.LOL. Thats why i only have the brakes on my car set at 15%, and still have issues.
