This a a semi-sort of rant about bodies for tourers. Of course, we all know that they are designed to make their car they are mounted to get around a track the quickest, scale looks and details come are of far less importance.
Do I think the manufacterers should stop caring about aerodynamics just to make the bodies look more like the real thing? Course not, that not what im getting at. But rather, a nice mix of the two...

A sketch of my 'perfect' body. It still has the performace of a race body (i think), but without having familiar lines of the real life car formed over a body with a completely different profile.
Also, since bodies dont have to be liscensed from an auto manufacterer to be legal for sanctioned races, the sky's really the limit as to what the bodies could look like on a detailing standpoint.
Just my 1/2 cent...

I love the non-make/model specific touring car designs, especially the DNA1 and 2.

If I had the tools and the know-how, I definetely would make that body.

Kinda looks like a GTP Nissan 350, to my eye...or a Maclaren F1.

And remember, aerodynamics and downforce have to work together more closely on real cars where speeds increase air resistance. At 40mph (or so) the forces at work on an RC aren't comparable to a 1:1 car. Proper downforce in RC is more desireable/required than low CofD.

Email your suggestions to Protoform, direct it to Dale Epp.
You would be suprised on input gets bodies made.
I had some input on the micro stratus when I was running it pre-production.

Wow, forgot about this one.
Bodywerk, I did notice that Dale Epps is active over at RCTech, but I'm just wondering if PM-ing him would or wouldnt turn into just some "make this body plz" kind of deal. I mean, id love to see something like this, but its all just a matter of presentation.
How to go about it...
