View Full Version : May Amateur Poll redo (Everyone please vote!)

Please vote the best body according to the following criteria

1) Design: How well does the design fit/flow on the body? Is it visually appealing? How are the color choices? Originality does not count, but naturally something that every painter has done will not score as high as something unique and new.

2) Execution: Regardless of how complex or difficult it is, how well is it executed? Are there paint bleeds? Are the lines straight (or correctly curved)? Are their obvious mistakes? Fingerprints in the paint or paint bleeds? How well executed are the fades and other basic painting techniques? etc.

3) Difficulty: How hard was this body to paint? Is it one color? Is the entire thing 5mm checkers with 4 different colors in each square? Are the mask lines through difficult areas of the body (i.e., wing mounts or stadium truck beds)? It may be 2 colors, but is one marbled? Is one color a candy that requires a special backing technique? This is where experience as a painter helps the most.

No worries man. I can see your pics once I click the links.

And dude...I LOVE the Brat! It's ugly as sin in the way that only a Subura Brat can pull off. That's exactly what I'm going for on my Brat when I get around to painting it.

If they are posted in the competition thread as attachments then I cant post them as an IMG without doing a lot of work. If in the future you get an account at photobucket or a similar photo hosting site, then I can get the actual image location and post it as an IMG.

Dragdrew, great job on the Mustang. It's a winner, for sure! Let's see another classic muscle car, like a Camaro or Corvette next, please!

thanks davec. Ive been wanting to do a camaro but none of my LHS ever have them in stock. besides im gonna sell my car and my mini t since I just bought an 8ight and a savage. decided to go nitro now. so yall be seeing more truck and buggy bodies real soon. Congrats to everyone else as well this month had some great bodies. I never would have thought mine would have won it. Good luck to everyone in the June competition!
