I had read that someones white nylon rims were dyable with RIT clothing dye. I got a set of the stock associated B4 rims and was wondering if this will work on them. Im about 90% sure im gonna try it anyway but I thought Id ask. What could be some possible bad side effects? Warping them from heat? Ill do all 4 at once to get a uniform color . Other than that I really cant think of anything to look out for. Im gonna try it this weekend when I paint the new body I got. Ill take a few pics good or bad.

One result will be that the plastic will be slightly less rigid, if that matters to you.

Dying nylon parts, like wings and wheels, is easy to do, but I find the dye can end up penetrating unevenly depending on the plastic. Sometimes you get a little blotchyness, but not a big deal. Be sure to clean the wheels with denat alky before dying so the colors will be as even as possible.
