...as in FULL SIZE drag bike! It's pretty intense to see the bike burnout silently (well, the tire screaching obviously isn't silent, but there's no BRAAAAP from an engine). Just go here and scroll down to the vid...

I love that sound.....HAHA!
It'd be cool if they developed a car to go with the bike though.... More room, more cells, bigger motor....more power!
I wonder what it could do with a huge pack of Kokam cells too....:D

Sounds like a jet engine when it starts up... That burnout was insane as well.

I was looking earlier on horizon, and alas, couldn't find them (didn't check a123racing though). I'm kinda disappointed I must say.:(

They're probably out of stock because they're all on that bike. lol
Pretty impressive. Wonder when the tech is going to be on high performance go-karts and what not as well :)

Yea, the regular A123's are on Horizon, but they appear to be the original packs, no new form factor. Same deal with A123's site.

go karts already have some good motors for them. On u tube there is a video of a 50,000 watt gokart.

Something tells me that an accident on that bike is NOT something you would want to stick around for. Seeing what some of the original Li-Po's that hit the market did when overcharged or punctured, I could only imagine what a drag bike loaded with nothing but these things would do if it ate the wall. There's nothin like a built-in firework show at race night!

Actually, A123 Li-Ion cells are extremely durable and resistant to catastrophic failure. They are at least as stable as Nickel cells, from what I've heard. Overcharging or puncturing of these cells will almost never result in fire or anything like that. That's one reason why I want to get some! :)
They are on Horizon, by the way. Not sure if they're in stock yet. I'm still waiting for the new form factor to arrive.
