No more than 5%. I didn't want these tests to be high speed.

so there is no gearing at all? The motor is mounted directly to the wheels?

http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/ and check out their PiStix device. For $13.50 your problem is solved electronically. I used one last year with a HV-85 & it is a winner!

Doesn't Castle have some pretty burly Boat ESCs also?
That's a very impressive project. Can't wait to see how it goes.
