Hello.

I need to buy this part: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLZR7&P=7, but i want aluminum cases. Do you know where to get some? Oo

I don't mean to be negative, but why aluminum cases. The stock ones hold up well as the outer cases don't need to be bulletproof. All the aluminum ones are going to add is extra maint (I've heard complaints of screws backing out, but can't verify myself) and extra unnecessary weight. I myself haven't been able to find the outer casings as I'm not sure who makes them, but I know integy makes the internal casings

Ya the way there housed i don't think you need that. Just make sure you had the screws tight. Oh and I can't seem to find the casing in Aluminum however there are cups. If you do get aluminum cups you need to locktite the screws with blue locktite.

I need eam coz, if they get warm, this bevel gear http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLZX7&P= does not sit in place, and i found some filing in the case. :( I got this problem only in the front case.

I searched integy cases at towerhobbies, but found none :(

maybe youre unloading all the power to the front, thicker oil in the center diff could help. The stock plastic casings work fine like on all top notch truggies.

I'm using 20.000 oil in the center diff, but my problem is younger than the oil and the problem appears when the case gets warm. The case/Hellfire is 30 liters old.

A friend of mine told me, he got this issue with his Robitronic Mantis too.

Are you using grease on the pinion and ring?

Do you have the diffs shimmed? There's metal shims you need to put on one side of the case or the other. Here's a little info on it:

"The mesh between the pinion and crown gear is critical. When you build you differentials, seat the completed diff and the pinion on it's two bearings in one side of the case. There should be just a little bit play between these two. If the is too much, put a shim on the gear side of the diff to close the gap. If there is too little, put a shim on the other side to open up the gap. You can also use shims between the pinion and bearing to bring the pinion into the gap, but start with the diff shims first. The stock diff case begins to wear a little after a while, letting the diff slide from side to side."

I used grease and shims :( The shims helped a little bit, but the problem returned :(

hey i had the same problem. can you move your pinoin shaft in and out with it all together in the case? if so the diff case is worn. iwent through two sets of ring and pinions before i found the case to be worn. 5 race weekends and still no issues, since i changed case.(i used hpi plastic case).
