From DuraTrax:
More stadium truck for the buck!
The Raze 1/8 scale nitro buggy has taken the off-roading world by storm and now DuraTrax presents the
equally impressive Raze ST stadium truck! It’s just as big, fast and easy with 4WD that makes a beginner
look good right out of the box. It also boasts lots of included upgrades that make it a terrific value with
plenty of option parts for even greater performance! And this truck is tricked out right out of the box!
Included are: SuperTigre G-27CS 4.4cc racing engine with adjustable engine mount, race-legal (150cc)
fuel tank with flip-top and built-in filter, heavy-duty 4mm aluminum shock towers, pre-glued soft off-road
tires with foam inserts, molded chassis side guards and an aluminum racing tuned pipe. Sweet!
This amazing truck also features:
• A complete bearing set (20) for smooth driving, high-speeds and long-lasting performance. Front
and rear center supporting braces, a 3-shoe racing clutch assembly and two brake discs with
adjustable front and rear bias are also included.
• The metal front steering knuckles hang touch in collisions and the 17mm drive hex is compatible
with all other 1/8 scale wheels available. A steel universal front drive shaft (to reduce friction and
backlash) and a 3mm blue-anodized aluminum chassis are part of the package.
• Adjustable, sealed differentials are in the front, center and rear. Each include four internal spider
gears which, like the ring and pinion gears, are made of durable metal. The front and rear diff
cases remove easily for maintenance.
• The sealed receiver box keeps radio gear free of dirt and debris and the pre-painted body features a
dual-element rear wing and clear windows, and is available in six aggressive colors!
Specifications:
• Length: 20.1 in (530 mm) • Width: 16.5 in (420 mm) • Height: 8 in (205 mm) • Weight w/on-board
electronics: 9 lb (4.1 kg) • Includes: DuraTrax 2-channel FM radio w/RX301F micro receiver, SuperTigre®
G-27CS 4.4 cc racing engine, glow starter, fuel filler bottle, Kwik-Pit™ Super Start, engine tuning/race

It's funny all the RC websites have information that the Raze st is comming out, but no one has pictures yet.

Anyone willing to scan the advertisement out of the August 2007 RCCA issue for us?

ST should be alot cheaper. $400 is steep when there are better truggy's for less.

I'm not, I'm merely observing the striking similarities between the two models.

Yes but that is smartechs POS and duratrax (from what I hear) Is changing the design by themselves.

Ya and think about the quality of plastics and other materials im sure duratrax is up to par.

That will be THE Raze ST. Look at the two buggy pics, one is from Duratrax's website, the other from Smartech's. Not trying to be a know it all, however, I would at least like to claim to be Captain Obvious and be able to figure out that they are the same vehicles.

Use the link if you want to see more pics...the link to Sramtech's wesbite.

Neither Duratrax nor Smartech make these cars, they buy them from some unknown company in China, just like everyone else. They both sell the same 1/5 scale vehicles, why the big surprise that they sell the same buggy/truggy? If the Raze is decent, then so is the Vanguard. The only thing Duratrx changed was what engine, what radio, and that sticker on the wing.

Please give your head a shake.

The only thing that is even close to the Mutilator are the tires, and the cheap RTR pipe. This is a full length truggy, full length arms, narrow chassis with side guards. Smartech/Duratrax or not, it looks pretty good.

399.99.... yea, add tax, and setup costs in.. this AINT going for under $400.

Before you open your mouth again, Have you ever owned a raze? Have you ever compared one to a Vanguard?? BIG difference in plastic quality, machinery precision, and everthing on the raze (i.e. Motor, radio system, electronics) are of much beter quality.

Nope Hobby shop owner said he has a few coming in (Pre-Ordered them) and he said they are for sure $400. Supposed to be alot better than the raze. Here are some cool things.. front universals, chrome tuned pipe, legal sized tank for racing.. and a bunch of other stuff.

well, what its hopped up with is completely top of the line.. and i have a few more things in the mail that should hopefully arrive soon.. but the hobby shop said around 700, i told the guy (friends older brother) that, he asked what it came with, I showed him it, fired it up, and he said he would pay 800 for it.. I was a little shocked but he insisted on it.. so.. lol.

Different plastics? Are you kidding me? The Raze and Vanguard are both from the same factory, same building, same everything. I am sorry that I sounded rude. Seriously guys, same truck.

Even the rims and tires on the buggy and truggy are the same.
