Latest from www.globalhobby.com

Airtronics service is now part of Global Hobby Distributors.

For the last week, Airtronics offices in Anaheim have been packing all of
the test equipment, inventory, etc. and today we moved all service related
items to our facility here in Fountain Valley.

The same senior technician who has been there for years has decided to stay with us to head-up service. He is already very close to having the service center up and running.

It will take a few more days to get all the parts organized and in our system, but at this point, we expect Airtronics repair service to be up and
running by the end of the week.

The move so far has gone very well and service staff is excited
about being a part of Airtronics.

The dealer program we have for Airtronics is more aggressive than it's ever been in the history of Airtronics. Better for consumers AND for dealers. Any dealers who have questions about Global's plans for Airtronics are welcome to contact me personally or Global Directly.

We are doing everything humanly possible to make sure this is a win-win-win for everyone concerned.

Mike Greenshields was responding to a couple of flames, which I have deleted. Not because we insist upon everything being sunshine and rainbows, but because the comments weren't pertinent to the Airtronics service story and were flamey. Masterchief's post isn't really related either, but it's not a flame.

Hey, I'm an Airtronics user for life. BTW, took the only offensive thing out of my post.

Mike

Your post was fine MC, no worries. --Pete

Is the pricing for parts and service going to change compared to what Airtronics charged?

Generally speaking, what we do with service and what was done with it previously will be very similar. For example, repairs close to 50% cost of new items will have the option of trade in for new product, etc... Some repacement parts have gone up but in many cases, prices have come down.

That's true of radio systems, servos, etc. as well as the parts. For example the 94162z, a great mg bb servo used to cost about 65 dollars to consumers. Price will now be about 40!

We have every intention of making service fair, reasonable, and as easy as possible so that owners continue to use Airtronics radios.

Well i hope airtronics does better under global. I have a 958z servo from airtronics and it just gave up the ghost for no reason. I would send it in but the last time i sent them my servo they charged me $50.00 and my servo still wasn't working correctly. I hesitated to using it as i was unsure of it's reliability. Well my instincts were correct and the servo was still faulty. It died just as my engine went into WOT. I still had steering control but no throttle control. Luckily my truck was on it's last few drops and it died down before my enigne could be ruined.

If it has recently been repaired and still does not work, obviously that is warranty and if you include a note explaining all of that along with exactly what happened, we're glad to service it for you
