Whats the biggest brushless esc u own? anyone got a MGM 224/TMM 224? or a MGM 160/TMM 160, or is there any diffrent brands of esc's.....

IM looking to buy a new brushless esc for my Losi 8ight T, it has a Neu motor 1515 1y/f (2200kv), an a 4s2p 8000mah lipo, my truggy ways around 11to12 lbs with everything in...

Right now my truggys fast but i have a mamba max esc with 2 fans on it and its just not takeing my 4pole motor/an bigg truggy.... so i need a bigger esc , has anyone seen or have a MGM 160/TMM 160 or the bigger MGM 224/TMM 224 ???
How good is it is the mgm 160 alot better at handleing a bigger motor and 4s2p lipo battery like mine???
What about the MGM 224/TMM 224 would this take care of my esc thermalling???
My truggy only last about 6-8mins tops then the mamba max thermalles and i have it geared low (13/48) so theres noting more i can do but buy a new esc..... plus i live in sunny florida an it hot out 98*...... ive been waiting for the monster mamba max but its still not out.....

Help me out, let me know what your running or what would be good for my brushless truggy?

If you want big voltage and amps get a pheonix hv 110
50 volts and 110 amps should be enough. You will need to power servos with other electronics

The HV-110 will not take it. Here is what happened to mine:

(remove the spaces)

You can try the BK 9920 or the 3695. I have a 7018 on my MBX5T and it is doing well.

The pheonix can take more than the first two, I'm still trying to find something on the other one.

Sorry about your pheonix. :D

I'm running a Quark 125b in my CRT and I love it. The Quarks do come with some heat issues but aren't that hard to over come. Honestly for the Quark to work properly in your setup you would need to either gear down more or use a lower turn Neu.

The problem with the HV-110 is that it can't give the burst required for start up. I also fried my Quark 125 in my buggy, but i had 6S lipos going through it. The Quark is veru smooth and has great start up torque. The BKs do cog a bit on start up and lack some of the set up futures from other systems, but it is darn right easy to set up and when it moves it does so in style.

One other thing. I don't know if it's true, but the Traxxas system has a rating of 250 or 300 Amps and I'm really thinking of getting one when it comes out to see if it can provide the power. The only downside is the battery limit, only 3S lipos. I hope it is a conservitive rating and if it handles 4-6S lipos and does put out 300 Amps, than it might be the best controller out there for the money. I'll wait for some folks to try it out first and see what they have to say.

Airplane ESCs are not designed for the type of demands that RC cars create. So in a car environment.....not necessarily.:)

alpine where did you get your electric motor adaptor? I have read your other posts and I would like to covert my hyper 7...unless I change to a losi 8T...but so far it will be the hyper 7. Since that is what I have.
