hi I've had my savage 25 for over a year and now the slipper all the sudden just started to slip so much that my car doesnt even move when i give it gas. I bought a new spur gear but that didn't help either. sure if my spring is worn out but know matter how tight i tighten it it slipps in about a minute of driving. thanks to any replies :roll2:
Did you change the slipper pad also?

Try adding an extra nut on the shaft so that it can not back off.

ok ill try that , i also bought the hpi spring washer and hex set (87042) that came with a brass thing thats too big to go into the spur gear is that to be used instead of the spring or is it suposed to go in the spur gear and i just have a bad part thanks

The brass bushing needs to be pressed into the spur gear, if you can't force it in you may have a deffective part (either the spur or the bushing).

ok im pretty sure that its the bushing because it doesent fit on the thicker part of the shaft and will the brass bearing thing from the cluth bell work instead thanks

I don't think they will, I think they are too small to fit in the spur gear. I may be wrong, but you could give it a try...
