I just bought an HPI savage 25 on ebay. The truck started right up and looks brand new. My problem is that my truck will take off after a couple of minutes and I can't control it. The motor stays on but I can't stop it or turn it. I thought it was the batteries on the truck so I bought new batteries and it still does the runaway thing after a couple of minutes. What else could it be besides the batteries on the truck? Could it be my radio controller batteries, I didn't stick new batteries in it?
Thanks,
Kris

It definitely could be the batteries in the transmitter. Try replacing those.

what? You mean nothing is working? steering and throttle? or its stuck? check trim and linkages.

The truck will run but when I would hit full throttle the car is stuck at full throttle. I can't turn it or anything. It acts like the battery pack in the reciever is dead. But the battery pack is fully charged and brandnew. I had AA batteries in there and it did the same thing that is why I thought that I had bad batteries. Then I bought a 1400 mah battery pack and it still does the same thing. Do you think that maybe it could be the reciever?
Without it running keep trying the throttle and steering as you walk away from while you have somebody watch to see it keeps working to make sure you have the range.
You never said did you change the transmitter batteries also?

I haven't tried changing the batteries in the transmitter yet. It has a solid light on the controller. So I am assuming that the batteries are good.

hmmmm its kinda sounds like your servo gets jammed when it is fully turned. does it do the same when hitting the brake. try replacing it with another servo for one run.
