For any of you participants (or observers) that may be in So. Cal. for the weekend, the gang at MHRA will be holding a points race at our track in San Bernardino on Sunday July 29th starting at 9:00. We race at the National Orange Show Grounds which is near the 10 and 215 freeways approximately 10 miles from the California Speedway.

For additional information and directions to the track, visit our website at www.socalmhra.com or come by to see us at the WFRCCC race on Saturday.

Everyone is welcome to come out and watch, or bring your car and race with us. We race 132' on VHT, and have a professional timing system capable of running handicap bracket or heads up races for anyone who would like to participate.

Check out some of the fastest drag race cars in the nation. Our track has had numerous passes in the 1.4 second range at 95+ mph!!!

Come by to say hi on Saturday and stick around for Sunday.

The MHRA race scheduled for Sunday, July 29th had to be cancelled due to a malfunction of our timming system.

Just curious, is this timing system the same one that was used at the WFRCCC today? If so, you guys should test it out again to see if it was something with the setup today or something buggy with the specific timing system. Hopefully it will get sorted out by the next competition so we can have an accurate, consistent speed trap, not just radar guns :)

We sent our system to the manufacturer for upgrades a couple of weeks ago. It was returned to us the day before the WFRCCC and only taken to the race as a backup system. As a result, no time was available for "testing" prior to the race. We are just as dissappointed as you are to fall back to the radar guns and would certainly like to apologize to you personally that our system manufacturer failed us in your time of need.

I sure enjoyed myself & cannot wait for next year!

Just to set the record straight - we haven't received the timing module back yet, we built and sent a complete replacement in advance simply because we wanted you to have one specifically for this event. Your system manufacturer didn't fail you in any way...

and congrats to Nic!

Huh? The module you so graciously sent would not function when installed in our system.

What brand of timing system was this having technical problems, TrackMate or RaceAmerica?

Hi Mike,

It was a Trackmate. The bad thing about it was we had to pay for the uprade and then we weren't able to race. We had people from out of town who were there to race with us on the 29th.:mad::mad::mad:
