Quick question about my savage x.

I have a new savage x. And I was wondering if I could use this

they're ok but sometimes they don't prime with enough force to totally fill the carb.

what's so hard about holding your finger over the pipe for a few seconds to prime it? you can also prime by pulling the vent line off pipe and blowing in it.

I was wondering because I want to get a fuel filter and I thought I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone basicly. I didnt no about the blowing into the line would prime it. Thanks for the help.
