Ed Jr. at Geometric Machine in Irwindale, CA did all of the custom machine work for both years of the comp.
Wolf Pack Radicals hooked me up with some really nice wheel adapters, and a pulley tensioner.
Thankyou guys for all the help youve given me.

Nic...
Glad to be associated with your racing program. You've proven to have the desire to win, the perseverance to try new things to push the envelope, and the graciousness to acknowledge everyone who helped you along the way.
What a class act.

Hey, it is weird seeing Mike Dulian mentioned. I know Mike and live near him. We ran bikes at my house last year. Great guy!
Nic has the tenacity to get things done, and the humble nature to ask questions and actually apply he advice given him.
Glad to see you retain the title, Man!

Matt: Mike has mentioned you a few times over the past couple of years. I guess I've dragged him back into bike world, even though I think he has more fun with the heli's.

I appreciate the kind words. My life has been super chaotic lately. I would have enjoyed it. I am doing alot of research for my next car. ;)
Anyway, I am glad you won!

Dont worry Brian, we are trying to link the events together so its effectively one big event. Your speed at your event could win over here!
With Schumacher involved I'm sure we will get loads of IC cars. You can fit a .28 in a GTR menace!

If there is an event in the UK, where in the US would there be a simultaneous event?
I've got a Savage that I think can break the MT record. Soon it'll be powered by 10s2p A123 :). This thing should be capable of ~4000watt peaks, or over 5hp. See if two nitro engines could match the power that my single BL motor will be putting out :).

I'm working on a similar idea for the MT record, for the possible east coast event, hopefully happening next year. Mines going to be a Twin Force

Matt -- I think he mentioned something about you making heli parts and the possibility of collaborating on projects.
Nothing bad--I swear!

Lito,
I was just kidding around. Yes, I have a side business making heli upgrades and complete high end helis. I have a full (though using small bench top machines) machinshop with a CNC, manual mill, and lathe. We have discussed a few co-operative projects in the past. :)
So, I think multiple speed runs is a great idea. I wish there was a midwest event near chicago or even in Wisconsin. Heck the Great Lakes Dragway is only 45 minutes from me. I am not sure how smooth the track is, though.

Now we're talkin...I would consider putting a 100MPH car together if I didn't have to travel 2000 miles to play with my toy car.

You cant simply just put a 100mph car together. It takes time to test and fix issues. Youve got to keep tchanging things back and forath until u get the highest speed possible. Not many people have gone over 100 mph.
Ive decided im going to make a custom front end on my car and put a 3 speed tranny on it. I know if i can find a long strip of road i can brake 100mph easily with the new front suspension im building.

I guess you'd have to argue with Charlie from Novak on that one. You missed my point though...If the Midwest does a Fastest RC Car nearby I will come.

So you want a West Coast, East Coast and Mid West comp!! If you can get somebody to organise it then why not.
We will need a World RC Speed Federation soon......:D:D

If we could get a speed event in every corner of the world on the same day, that would help get R/C in the main stream

I just finished the high gearing mod on the Kyosho RRR. With a 24T pinion and 40K revs = 133 mph. I ran it up the street and clocked 70 mph and it didnt make 2nd gear.
This was with a 5 port .12 engine, the OS 18 TZP Murnan modified is on its way!!
