ETA: Who the hell knows.:) Rumor has it (well, actually, I saw him post it on RCgroups in the Castle forum) that Del Castillo (the owner of Castle) said that if the motors aren't ready by the time the controller is ready, you can expect the controller only versions out first. He said in a month or two (everyone is thinking it'll be released in conjunction with the Tekin stuff).

dont understand why they have to be sooo effing flakey about these things. If its not going a scheduled we should at least be kept up to pace instead of totally kept in the dark. wa to treat customers that cant wait to buy the product. been waiting all summer and now summer is almost over.... lame

While I agree it blows, they're basically attempting to make no promises so that they're not held to any one deadline. If they make a promise, and then miss it (like they've already done), it just pisses off more and more people. I do think it's pretty lame to divulge information regarding how the system is coming (Tekin is the same way; a coincidence, or are they working together closely? dun dun dun dun!).

You misinterpreted my post. Yes the thread was started 4 months ago, but that wasn't what I was saying.

The post started saying it would be here in two months - ie june.

June was 2 months ago. Thus making the point that it was 2 months overdue.

Make sense now ?

A buddy of mine visited the castle HQ over 6 months ago, maybe even a year ago, and he held the motor in his hand.
Who knows what they're doing. I haven't really seen any other new stuff come out from them recently, so they must be putting some effort into it.

Not everyone, the market is still there. I bet they will still sell a ton once its out, (unless someone comes out with a comparable product) if that happens then its over...

Like i said on the RC-Monster forums, I'd put money on traxxas having their MT esc and motor before the Supposed big two (Castle/Tekin). Both should take a page from traxxas anyways. Look at the Mamba Max, Took two years from announcement, they announced it before Novak was even considering getting into brushless. It took a year after Novak to get it to market. Now the MMM was anounced about the same time, that makes three years now that i have heard MMM this and MMM that. Traxxas announced the velineon two months ago and delivered a month past projected deadline.

Well, Traxxas has infinite money and resources compared to Castle. And while I would love to have a Velineon Rusty, I just can't justify the price(which I admit is very reasonable). The problem is that I'm kinda getting away from rc, but if the MMM is released before too much longer, I might just have to smash that piggy bank and get my E-maxx haulin' some major ass.

Got tired of waiting, I bought a Quark 125b Monster pro this weekend.

I have a MM and 5 Mamba 25s too, so you know what I think about CC. It was just having done all the work on my BL Emaxx and not getting any encouragment about when or if the MMM was going to be out. When I started, I was hoping by the time I got to the point I needed an esc, MMM would be out. Nope, they missed the boat on this one.

I think a lot of us did the same thing. I bought a Quark a couple of months ago and just picked up an mgm16018 recently. I will probably still get a MMM when it comes out since I like the programming of the MM but honestly I dont really need it anymore. A little to late for me.

Yeah, thats my intention, I was hoping for a MMM to make my 1st big conversion a little more of a sure thing. I've got 4 18th scales running BL but its not huge if I screwed something up and smoked one. It would be huge messing up my Emaxx conversion!! This is a little more complicated!

I'm starting with a feigao 8XL and after I get it up and going, will finish the G2R with the MM I have, it's going to soooo much lighter than the Emaxx. If these are as much fun as my 18ths are (M18, M18MT, MQ SE, Vendetta), then Ill be making some changes in my stable and a high end BL motor will be near the top of my list. These have got to be quieter - wet blanket for a neighbor!

thats funny. I bought a quark and then an mgm16018 because I have totally given up on castle getting this thing out anytime soon. they have said for months that the controller is done but yet they wont sell it because they say there are working on the motor. :roll2:

The motors seem to be the biggest issue imo. Almost everyone is having heat issues except those with super expensive Neus which don't run well on the mambas and those with super expensive Lehners, which are hard to get because Lehner doesn't want to do business with us US folks.
