I really like those bikes. Really cool; I'm afraid to ask how much the one with the red CF chassis costs...:D

Woah. In that last pic, the driver in the background appears to be looking at the driver in the foreground... did the owner pose the head to one side before the heat, or is there a servo doin' it?

Nope, that last bike pic was from Round 4 today. I (red carbon DRP Bikes frame) was passing Eric Poholsky (red Ducati-y thingy), who is driving a new 4-stroke bike.

Not meaning to steal any of FifthScaleRacer's thunder (my pics don't even compare to his, anyway), but since bikes are my thing, here a couple more of StubbyPhilips' bike:

Nitro and electric bikes ran together.

So which kind usually wins (obviously dependant on driver, but keeping the driver equal, which do you think would turn faster lap times)? Do the electrics have any advantage over the nitros at all? It must be nice to run both at the same time without anyone bickering about it.

Why do the Nitros and electrics race together? shouldnt they be in a seperate class or are they?

We're not getting enough of a turnout yet to race them in separate classes. As for which type wins more often, at my home track (KZ Speedway in Sun Valley, CA) the electrics usually dominate. But I have to say that FPM's new R30FS bike (the red Ducati-ish one in the pics) is really going to give the electrics a run for their money. It has so much bottom end due to the low-end torque and winds out really nice. The electrics ususally have an advantage in handling, as their low weight can be tossed around quicker.

And Rob, it was a pleasure meeting you also!

Let's try this again... "did the owner pose the head to one side before the heat, or is there a servo doin' it?"

theres is defenately no servo to move the head... i believe it just go bumped into that direction.

That shot wasn't posed, just good luck and great photography from Rob. In fact, hours before we saw that pic, Eric was complaining that the rider's head was turning (one of the little things that bug him), so we applied some Shoe Goo to him before the next round.
