CRT.5 conversion:question about pinion gear

I'm a little stuck on ordering the correct pinion from RC monster. Do I just need a 5mm mod 1 pinion and a 5mm to 1/8" reducer in order to drop a Novak 7.5 in it? Or will a 32 picth 1/8 bore RRP pinion for an E-max work just the same.
