Did anyone ever find out what caused the big B-52 in England to crash.

The wind was obviously quite strong judging from the sound in the microphone. Was it the R/Cer's old nemisis the Down wind turn that got it?
That's kind of what it looked like to me.

not much on the forums about that poor guy's B-52. After seeing the video several times, it appears to me that he might have lost prospective of the model coming or going as it looked like a black silhouette against the grey cloud background! Big loss indeed!

It was the same thing that kill the real B-52 at Fairchild in 1994. Too little airspeed, too much manuvering... in other words accelerated stall.

You,re probably right.
I can't help but think that the wind had something to do with it also.
Theplane was downwind at the time of loss of control. From the noise in the microphone it was obviously quite windy with gusts.
If I had that much money, blood and sweat tied up in a model such as that one it would be sitting home on such a day.

The Pilot (wing commander) was seen drinking at the Officers club before the flight.....
