If off the shelf parts were used, what parts did you use to convert to single speed? I got one and am not impressed with the three speed, it sounds like its coming apart going down the road. Besides i am running a strong brushless and don't need to shift.
thanks for any info you guys can give

All you need is a slipper eliminator, and bore-out the shaft hole to 5mm. Then, use a standard spur gear.

Racers Haven carries them in stock form Big Boy Toys. Give em a call.....

I believe you will have to bore the adaptor out to 5mm. You will also need to machine a motor mount.

The slipper eliminator is for a Losi XXX ot XXXT. Racers Haven will know.
Yes you will have to bore it out. I' not aware of anyone that sells gears for a 5mm shaft.

The GTRe comes with a electric motor mount, right? If I remember correctly, it does not have much through, but I think that can be modified.

Nice choice BTW ;)

So xxx/xxxt slipper eliminator and bore out to 5mm, then spur of my choice that will fit, ok cool. Yes it has a motor plate and a top plate, the motor plate has limited range compared to other car, but like you said that can be worked with. Yes its a nice design, but the belt feels tight, got to get it broke in and adjusted. Thanks, will order it soon

Thank you very much Hard Case and Mod Man, but i found a way with the parts i got here. I am using a Jato slipper and the second gear out of the three speed, I am using the bearings and spacers from the tyhree speed for now, but will be looking for a spacer when i can and a bigger spring. The jato spring is too small for the 5mm shaft, The cool thing is the second gear pinion is an 18 like a Emaxx stock pinion

Running a 7700 on 2s 8000 with a 20/62 i think (second on GTRe), it spins the tires and runs about 50. hehehehe, I love it. I may go to a 5700 for cooler running. I got to thinking you said 5mm, hmmmm, revo/jato use 5mm. the cool thing, no brake servo and and no nasty noise. Got to say the 3-speed was intresting and compact. I got a lehner xl 1200 basic/quark80 i might have to try on 4s if i can get a pinion to stay on
