Which wire is the sensor that people were disconecting to prevent thermals on Novak GTB? I'm having an issue with my old GTB. I believe it is thermalling too early. It is shutting down at around 135 F. I believe that's the problem and I want to try the disconnect to trouble shoot. I want to make this ESC last a little longer if possible. It's seen a LOT of use but if I can get another year out of it that would be nice. I can't remember which wire it is.
Thanks.

You can't disconnect the thermal overload protection for the GTB---the blue sensor wire senses the temp of the motor to prevent motor thermalling.
You can exchange your old GTB for a rmf GTB (http://teamnovak.com/cs/web_options/index.html)---newer versions with lipo or even the Spread Spectrum version for 69.00.

I think scoob was referring to just the velocity motors temperature sensor.

Blue sensor wire for the motor temperature then.

Yes I should have put that differently. The motor is getting to 135 F with ESC around 130 F. Was thinking maybe it was the motor heat sensor causing the problem. Just one possibility.
Novaktwo- So I can exchange my original GTB for the newest version Spektrum for $69 remanufactured or $83 for a new one?If that's the case I may just do that. I read it differently and was thinking you had to exchange for the same model to get that price.
Thanks

Yes, those are the exchange/upgrade prices for the GTBs. You can also exchange any Novak BL motor for the Option 1 price, or swap your motor for a different wind motor for an additional 10.00.

Wow that is going to be a very expensive temp sensor.

Well I got the wire disconnected and tested it out. It seems to have solved the problem. It runs great now, no problems. I guess I'll just use it without that sensor. Sensorless motors don't have any protection and my Mambas get a lot hotter so I don't think I'll worry too much about it as long as I keep an eye on the temps. I was kind of suprized it worked really.
