I'm working with the Parks department for The Colony and trying to get an outdoor offroad track built for public use. I wondered if anyone could direct me to a good place that would give me an idea of what area requirement would be needed for the track, as well as suggestions on how to lay out a decent track.
Thanks in advance.

Well, as of the meeting that I had with the head of the parks department last week, if it does happen, one place that has been suggested is across the street from the Five Star Sports park just north of 121.

Spivey, I'll keep your name in mind once this gets moving further along. I'm sure that all the assistance I can muster up will be greatly appreciated.

By all means, look me up also. I would like to have access to a track to run on, test, and hang out with everyone.

I'll definitely keep everyone up to date on this (sorry I missed this, my email settings aren't right I don't think). So far we've met with the city, shown them what an RC track looks like (yeah, that was necessary), discussed a few possible locations and are currently working toward getting costs figures for the city so that they can get an idea of how much money they'll be putting toward this venture. Unfortunately, since this is going through the city, I don't expect things to go TOO fast, but slow and steady is better than nothing at all, right?

Hey Beardking, L8RG8R here from TWTEX. :) You're in to RC too huh? Very cool. Any updates on a track the Colony track? It would be a little bit of a drive for me, but as of now I only know of Mike's Hobby Shop in Carrollton and that is a LONG drive from where I am.

So what's up with this thread? Are we going to get a track nearby? I would gladly patronize the shop.
