I am thinking of buying one the local hobby shop has. I know the brushless version is a good boat, what do you guys think about the nitro version? I am looking for a easy and fun RTR boat, I dont need anything crazy. I have had other boats before and this one looks pretty well made, and less headache than my last one.
Thanks

Couldn't wait here it is:D:D
Got it today read all the directions(first time ever) watched the DVD that comes with it and I was out to the pond. Took longer to get it running than I thought it would, but after the first time I got it going the rest was easy. I should have went over everything first but oh well. WRONG almost lost the drive shaft right away, dumb move. Ok then I went over it.
I broke it in as called for, then off to the races. WOW:eek: it really moves out after you lean it back down. Had to adjust the trim tabs down a little(slight bend) to keep the bow down. It comes out of the water easy and is easy to lose control, but that makes it fun. Flipped it once had to go swimming. I ran at least 7 full tanks today.
Bought An Octura X440 prop with it and tried the stock one and the X440 after it was broke in. I like the X440 much better.

You're going to want to check the flex cable collet a lot as they do seem to loosen. I've almost lost my cable a few times already.
I did replace mine with a Hughey flex cable as I like to be able to use a non-metric prop nut.
Mine turns some insane props for an .18. We've had an X-640, a GrimRacer 42x55, Prather 215 and 220's on it and all have worked well but the 220 was a bit much.
I've also replaced the stock trim tabs with the adjustable ones from Offshore Electrics.

Ya, I'm going to play arounf and see what props the boat likes, and get those adjustable trim tabs for sure.
I haven't had any problems with water in my boat even when running it without the hatch on.
I don't know what the run times are but it seems to be a very long time. I've seen where some people are getting 8-10 minutes.
I got to figure out where all the water is coming from, I get quite a bit during each tank of fuel:( I put a large piece of fuel hose over the bottom half of the antenna shaft to make a better fit for the cowl. I'm going to mostly close of the vents in the cowl all there are overkill anyway for a watercooled engine.
I'll try to time one of my tanks of fuel today and see what happens, who knows the tank might be leaking. I want a bigger one in there any way.

Where is it leaking at? The cap can be overtightened which can toss fuel around.

It seems to leak from the cap area, I try not to over tighten the cap. If I turn the boat on its side to dump water out after a run it will leak out then. I still get too much water in the boat during a run.
I brought a fishing pole today, that helped a ton because the boat died a couple times out there. Not sure why it died. I still need to tune it in , I am running too rich still but thats ok I'll figure it out soon.
I have the trim set pretty good now. I like the way it runs, the bow is not running as high. I like good bow lift but too much is a bad thing:).
