The New BH Models T-28 Trojan just came in and here's a shot of it in the box. We will be reviewing this one soon and will have another build along string starting here as soon as we start gluing parts together. Engine will be a .90 Magnum 2-stroke engine and Airtronics servos.
It has balsa and plywood construction covered with Oracover iron-on film. Comes with a factory-painted cowl, installed canopy, tandem pilots installed, and decals.
Wingspan: 64.75"
Length: 51.18"
Weight: 7.3 lbs+
Requires your .61 2-stroke or .91 4-stroke engine, and 6-channel radio with 7 servos.

The T-28 is such a nice airplane we chose it for our next cover! Watch for it soon in the newsstand! We flew it several times and I have to say that it is a great flyer and good value for what you get for less than 140 bucks. All the hinges are plastic pinned type and they all come installed and glued and cross pinnned into place. The tail is full built up and airfoiled shaped and the wing is easy to glue together. There is also a pre made belly pan that has a latch pin for easy removal. The gear is fixed and there are flaps.
Flying the model with a Thunder Tiger .91 2-stroke was great but did require a bit of lead in the tail to balance.
Slow flight very good and full flap landings are very scale like, steep and slow with no wing tip stall.
In all a very good model for the price.

PS: I did not review the model, these are my sideline from the pitts observations

Yes, my flying buddy Aaron Ham, really like the T-28. he has flown it a number of times and the only complaint he has is that yellow ring around the nose of the cowl. It's not scale. I am trying to get him to do a how to upgrade by adding retracts to the model. We'll see what happens

Hi GY, I just purchased the BH T-28 Trojan. Sweat plane but it needs retracts. Have you done you retract conversion yet? If so could you post some pics of the conversion? I want to convert mine to retracts but I have never done a conversion like this before and needs some, particularly with the nose gear. Also what type of retracts are you going with (i.e. air or mechanical)?
