has any1 replaced the stock electronics on the radioshack 1969 camaro (http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/113_0511_radioshack_rc_chevy_camaros/photo_02.html)?

I haven't done it in that car, but I have got a radioshack monster truck and attempted to replace the electronics, only cos they broke and the truck was sitting around.
From my experience, it's not worth the bother. There was far too many modifications to get things to fit in, like the steering servo. The radioshack things don't use a servo as such, just some crap motor and gears, which isn't all that different to a servo, but the housing is WAY different. You can't just plonk a hobby grade servo in and expect it to stay there.

I have seen it done and there are vids on youtube where some people have done it, but at what expense? If you have to cut bits away from the car, and servo, and potentially completely munt the electronics so you can never use it in any proper car, then it could end up being quite expensive to do such a thing.
