I was on a flight from SF to Seattle and had picked up my first RC Car Action in a loooong time and came across the WFRCCC.....I couldn't stop reading and looking at everyone's cars. I had my car designed by the time I landed!!!

I have been racing RC for 20 years, gas and electric, oval and road course and have built most of my own chassis up until I started racing 4wd cars. However, all that chassis building was preparing me for this, the coooolest rc race of all!

I have read the myriad of posts here and learned a TON, mostly about the radios but I still have a few questions for y'all.....

1. What sort of tires do you use? I figured out that at 100 mph they're spinning at 13,500 rpm.....don't regular foam tires come apart??? Do you use rubber with some sort of special belting?

2. Do you use 1/10 tires or 1/8?

3. How long does it usually take the cars to reach full speed? (distance)

4. Would someone running nitro share their overall gear ratio/tire size info?

5. What is the present nitro speed record? I'd like to know since I have every intention of breaking it this summer!!!! (big talker!!!)

6. Is there a 'stock body' and 'streamliner' record separation?

7. How do you get custom lexan bodies made? (like Nick's streamliners)

That's all for now. I appreciate your answers to any of my questions and I can't wait until next July. This is what I started rc racing for, I just didn't know it til now!
