the ofna sx 0001 or airtronics 94102 servo for T/B on a ultra comp2?

Assuming the Ofna servo is a Futaba, I'd stick with it. Never really had much luck with the cheapo Airtronics servos.

what would a decent servo to replace it with i dont want to spend a mint on one

I've found the hard way that you either have to use cheezball servos on throttle, or $85+ servos.
If you want to risk it though, a JR Sport ST126MG (airplane servo) is about the same specs as a JR Z650 (140ish torque, .17ish transit time), and is around 35 bucks. Check out www.horzionhobby.com

would that pull the slide out of the carb?

Nothing will pull the slide out if you have the endpoints set right. Even then, you'll just blow up your servo. Not likely to damage the carb.
I have 196oz/in of torque on my buggy for throttle and steering.
