For those of you running 4S or greater setups on your large electrics, our new XBEC might be a good way to avoid a receiver pack. You can find it in the "ESC's" section of our website.
The XBEC is a switching external BEC, for use with 3S-10S battery packs. It's capable of a sustained output of 4A, with intermittent bursts to 5A. This is useful when the BEC on your speed control can't handle the voltage/current needed for your setup, or if you are using an ESC without a BEC.
