I see all the large engines here hope to get answers for such a small one lol
I just bought a new thunder tiger gp.07 rc engine and have had no luck starting this engine i have wasted a pint of fuel so far. i can get the motor to run very low for about 5 seconds and thats it the manual says to close the needle valve and turn it counter clockwise 2-1/2 turns i have tryed from 1 turn to 3 and still have the same problem at 3 you get to much fuel and pumps out the muffler.the manual does not say how to reset both needles just the high speed what can i do

You did not say if you have the engine mounted in a plane or on a test stand.
If it is in a plane the tank should be mounted so that the center line of the tank is level with th e high speed needle. This is also true if on a test stand.

Check to see that the carburetor is seated properly in it's mounting hole and the screw(s) that secure it are tight and no air is being sucked in through this area. If the backplate is held in place with screws, check to make sure these are tight. Check the head screws also.

You should be using new fuel line with no pinholes and routed as directly to the fuel nipple on the engine as possible.

If no glow plug was included with the engine a medium hot plug should be used initially along with at least 25% nitro fuel.

I use Sig Champion 35% fuel in all my 1/2A engines with satisfactory results.

If you try any of these checks, try them one at a time and if any work to solve your problem let us know which ones did it.
Good Luck,

Tandy
