Good day to all. I have a Dumas Hotshot 3.5 ABS Tunnel hull that is powered by the K&B 3.5cc nitro outboard. It's an awesomely fast little boat.
But now I want to go to an electric outboard.
The boat is made of ABS plastic and is 27" long. Not too sure of the weight.
Any ideas on an electric outboard that will make this thing run as fast or faster than the nitro burner?
Thanks.

if you get an outboard that can handle a brushless motor with lipo battery then thats the only way to go faster than nitro fore shure

You can get a quality lower unit from Fuller's ( http://www.drcwebservices.com/ffe/hardware.htm ). It is carbon fiber and can handle 12 cells/4S liPos. A boat that size is about perfect for that voltage class.
