Hey Everyone
I havent been to this site in a year or two and havent run my R/Cs in about the same time. College and work takes up a lot of time.
So whats new in the R/C world? Whats the new big thing? Went i stoped paying attention Lipo was on the rise and mini stuff was uber popular.
I still see a few names i recognize but plenty of new people.

Welcome back man. I just came back to the forums a few weeks ago after a loooong break from R/C.
I am getting back into Electric TCs. LiPo use is still on the rise. I think the mini craze in on the down, big blinged up monsters are still popular. Brushless is still advancing, and not alot has changed in the nitro world I believe....
well thats my 2c

I hear ya, I just got back into R/C about 1 month ago after about 2 year break! Was racing on road now racing off-road not much changed I think cept for a few newer cars, increased battery capacity and with the brushless taking off with lipos, high end brushed motors and esc's are now a whole lot cheaper! Pretty much what eric and kuch said! lol

Have you seen the Traxxas VXL vehicles? High-performance brushless right out of the box. If you can afford a nice LiPo battery they'll go 60+.

Thanks for the replies guys! I recognize you SS Pede.
Nitro still runs on nitro!!! I was expecting hydrogen fuel cells by now :D.
Nice to hear that brushed motors have gone down in price. Still dont have the money for brushless so now i can replace some older motors. Anyone know a good site for NiMH assembled race packs? I lost all my favorites with my links.

cheapbatterypacks.com and maxamps.com are about the only two places I mess with for batteries anymore. Of course, most of my batteries are lipos now, but I suspect that MaxAmps NiMH batteries are of equal quality to their LiPo (which is to say, the best).

EP, GP, and IB are generally considered to make the best NiMH cells. IB and EP are easier to find nowadays...GP came out with some 4300 cells that seemed promising, but they are difficult to find. For really good matched packs you could try someplace like www.promatchracing.com or any similar site (there are lots as you probably know).
