we gave 5yo grandson his first rc truck one of those ''titans'' from ebay.
Man did his eyes pop, we went outside and he ran his and i ran my rustler he loves it and I think a Rustler will be under the tree for him next thanks-mass.

But basicly we did thanksgiving Turkey w/all the trimmings and did the x-mass thing for the kids.
Was laughter and happyness threwout the evening.
Its going to be the yearly thing from now on, first year we have gotten to see grandson open his gifts ever (usually just ship a box) and also first gifts granddaughter ever opened by herself so my GF was so overjoyed about that.

Maybe by the real x-mass i can sneek a new TRX3.3 engine under there with a tag saying its from her to me :D :D :D

I am leaning more to the crawler because it is something I can play with quietly in my backyard. I think my neighbors get tired of listening to a nitro engine 2 or 3 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week in the summer.
Although my LHS guy says it is easy for him to get parts for the blizzard as he sells a few of the electric ones and keeps parts on hand for them. But there isn't much of an aftermarket for the blizzard your pretty much stuck with it stock unless you make your own parts. We'll see how the christmas money keeps adding up. I'm close the cost of an AX10 kit. Then I'll have to buy all the other stuff to go with it out of pocket. Which means sneakin it by the wife. lol.

I play DiRT alot, on PS3 though. Ranked top 200 on a couple of the tracks, and top 150 on a couple. The best I've been was 126th on Chula Vista A, then I didn't play for awhile and a few people got ahead of me. Think I'm 150 something now.

Nope, my dad was supposed to be getting me that ST-1, then I figured out that he hit my brother (which pissed me off badly because he beat me daily for about 6 years), so I told him to take my christmas money, and go get some anger management classes. Yes, u have a point there. Part of the reason why his second outdoor model is a drift car with lots of wheel spinning for sure. He already has a lunchbox, stock TLT-1 (indoor use) & a Tamtech frog (indoor use). He also gets to drive my vintage clod circa 1989 sometimes.

He's getting better in the steering department but still need work on the throttle.

I'll have to monitor him when we get to the park. I have an identical :D unit with a supra body. So, we can play together when we are at the park.

My best lap times when I'm in the top 200 are like 3 seconds slower than the guy in first place. I don't know how the heck they get that fast. I've spent hours monkeying with my car setup and even more hours making lap after lap after lap. I can't find any setups or corners to cut or different lines around the track that will gain me that much time. I've tried driving with the slow is fast frame of mine. I've tried wide open out of control half the time. All I ever gain is a few tenths here and there. It gets frustrating.
