Whats a decent racing radio for my mini truck .. I would like to start somewhere near mid grade or even a bit lower .... I am looking for something synthesized only because i dont want to deal with the whole crystal thing ...
Please anyone respond but keep the following in mind in your response ...
I dont sell crack ... I work for a living and the holidays are comming up very very soon ... ( I dont need an 8 billion dollar radio ) Lets keep it under 200 bucks .... Also remember its going inside of an 1/18 scale so its going to need to be able to take a beating while racing ....
Thanks All in advanced .... Big V

Look at the new 2.4GHz radios from Spektrum, Futaba or Airtronics. All three have radios under $200 which is competitve with their synthesized radios.

Big Daddy surely you already have a race radio and just need another reciever for the little guy!

MX-3FHSS seems to be a VERY nice radio for about 180 bucks. The receiver is also very small.
#2 on the list would be the Futaba 3PM-FASST (kind of a big rx for such a small car though).
#3 would probably be a DX3.0, but honestly I would MUCH rather have one of the other two. The only advantage you'd have here is that Spektrum currently has what seems to be the smallest/lightest 2.4GHz receiver on the market.
If you want to stay with 75MHz (I have no idea why anybody would), you can probably find an XS3 for around 150-200 bucks, but with a fairly large receiver.
