Sorry, I haven't had any "first hand" experience with that kit. You could send me one for X-ms and i'll let you know how it turns out though lol.

I am buying one tomorrow evening.
But I don't expect I will have much time to break it in until after the new year. We're supposed to have poor weather this weekend here, and then after that I will be traveling for the holidays on most weekends. I don't want to break it in halfway now and then leave it set for 2 months and then go back to try to finish the break in. I'm not sure if that would make any difference or not, but I would rather wait until I know for sure that I have time to break it in properly.
I will probably use the time to take it apart and rebuild it, since I'd rather have a kit anyways but don't want to shell out the extra scratch!

The motors are not as powerful as the K4.6 but it is still quick. When my shop had a speed contest I personally clocked one of them box stock at 46mph so it is no slug.

So why did they make that dumb video saying it goes 60mph. Looked so funny jumped from like 30mph to 60 mph was pretty funny actually.

From hpiracing.com, "...with a scorching top speed of more than 45 MPH."
I only know because I have been obsessing on that website this week :)
I'm yet to see a video that claims anything higher than 45, which, as josh informs us, is a valid claim.
Of course I am not saying the video doesn't exist, I just went straight to the printed source.

I remember not to long ago seeing a video about the Savage and it showed them with a radar gun and it showed like 55mph or something. Can't find it now though.

Guarantee that was not stock gearing.
Actually, we have a guy with a Sure Fire 32, and the tallest gearing and he couldn't really get it past 50, even with the 3 speed.
Wheelies quite nicely though. :D

Ok, I bought my Savage 4.6 RTR this weekend. Unfortunately the weather was bad, so I didn't get a chance to fire it up and try it out.
However, I did learn one lesson...
This truck is too large to fit into the trunk of a Mazda RX-8! :roll2:
Maybe if I take the wheels and body off...

lol... I'll trade you an MX-3 for an RX8. You can fit a 6x3' table in there... it's not comfortable but it can be done.
You'll need a clutch however.
LOL. Can't blame me for trying? :)
