Is there a way I can set my brakes on my esc via my radio? I have a Hitec SRX and a Dynamite Tazer esc. The esc clams to have reverse delay but whenever I hit the brakes it slams into reverse. I have to roll on the brake to bring it to a stop. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks for the help

Usually the reason your ESC goes into reverse when hitting the brakes is because the wheels have locked up while braking. If the wheels stop spinning, the ESC thinks the car has come to a complete stop. This means it will jam into reverse even if the car is still moving. It's esspecially bad on 2WD because there is very little traction on the rear tires when braking.

Most newer ESCs avoid this by using a timed reverse delay (Novak rooster), or a "double pump" reverse lockout (Tamiya TEU101bk & TEU302bk) that requires you to tap the brake trigger twice in a row to activate reverse.

If your transmitter has a "Low throttle" EPA (end point adjustment), then you can try turning that down. It basically lowers the volume on your brake & reverse portion of the trigger. The only problem is that it will make your brakes work poorly at lower speeds.

It is best for you to simply roll onto the brakes as you've found necessary. It's just a more advanced driving technique.

I'll get use to my speedo until I get one with true brakes, thanks for the input 93eg.

I have a question... if you go from reverse to forwards, does it act like it has brakes? If so, you've got it simply wired backwards. :)
Those Tazers have always worked really well... Brakes and all.
