Hi guys i just finished off a pair of matching bodies. The first one is a Proline CP with with faskolor paints and sealed with Rustoleom Spray Paint! This stuff really works at keeping your bodies from being destroyed on first outing. Not only this but i was having people come back and complain that the paint was peeling away when they would go to wash their bodies...

At first i was surprised because none of the bodies that i have ever raced with had this happen. So i asked one of my customers to show me how he was washing his lid and low and behold---> He was using a hose with the nozzle set on high pressure. Of course if you spray your lids with high pressure your going to rip the paint off. SO i decided to try Rustoleom and sure enough it works. Now him and everyone else that buys a body from me can blast holes through their lids with high pressured water LOL--I'm not fixing that :D

Either way if you guys decide to do Rustoleom, I recommend a well ventilated area and away from any vehicles. This stuff stinks!!!!!!!!!! Also remove your window masks immediately because this stuff hardens and will not let you remove it later.

Enjoy

Just a quick question-the other day I tried my hand at doing painted window trim and it came out alright, but it certainly wasn't perfect. I used an xacto to cut away the mask and then peeled it. I had a problem trying to get a clean cut line-I had only let the body sit for 30 min (I had been doing light spray paint coats and drying it with the heater, but still) and that could have been a factor. I'm just curious what blade # you're using to get those lines. Thanks and nice work!

Before i put the window trim on the body i draw out the line to cut. I do this so i'm not guessing how thick to make my lines while i'm painting. I draw and cut everything before paint ever touches the body. It's like painting by numbers when my lids are ready.
