any compressor/ single or doublel action

will any compressor work with a airbrush? my compressor is a little 4 gallon/5hp twin tank. i don't have a air brush yet, looking at the harbor freigh one.
whats better to start with, single action or duel action? whats the difference between the two?

any compressor will work as along as you can adjust the psi's.i would also add a water seperator.

you can start with a single action and work your way up to a dual action.

u can use the harbor freight single action but i ant too crazy about their dual action 1!

look into the parma faskolor f1 airbrush,its easy to use!

you can pick up a single action for 10 bucks.the f1 brush u can get for like 30-50 bucks.i would try the single action first!,to see if you like it.i have seen many great paint jobs pulled off with a single action airbrush

double action you can control the amount of air as you pull back on the trigger as single action you cant

On most Dual action airbrushed pushing down on the trigger controls the air and pulling back controls the paint flow.

On a fixed dual action the trigger controls both air and paint flow at the same time as you pull back on the trigger

Single action as you push down on the trigger you can control airflow a bit. Good ones have needle adjustment. You can get different size spray patterns by moving you brush close to and away from subject.

Try getting an airbrush with top cup(gravity feed)
