I have been wanting to get a smaller Electric Helicopter such as the CX2 ot the Axe CP-L, but first I think it might be wise to get a simulator. I know theres alot the sim can't teach me, such as setup and trimming.
One of the quistions I have is I seen in one of the movies of the G3.5 that it had checkboxes for G1 and G2, Does the G4 come with all the previous versions aircraft? the 3.5 has the Axe CP and I think I seen the CX or CX2 in one of the videos.
Another quistion, how realistic are these for bigginers, if I have trouuble flying the CP-L in the Sim does that mean I should reconsider getting the real thing?

I have never flown an RC aircraft, I use to race RC cars/trucks and have no problem controlling a nitro monster truck traveling over 50mph, but I know I didn't start out with that skill either.

I constantly get discount codes from Tower Hobbies, can I use this discount to get the G4 Sim? or is there a cheaper place to get it, $200 for a software purchase is alot for me, my Os software didn't cost that much. But I know specialized software like this costs alot of money as there isn't a huge market for it.
I am pretty sure I want to get the mode 2 version as well, as I live in the US, is this correct.

Is there Cost estimation for repairs when I crash and if there is how accurate is it?

And one last quistion, I know I can add things like streamers and such, but what about other options such as a differant prop, or flying the Axe CP with flat bottom blades?

Thanks!

I'm not sure about crash estimates and prop changes, I've only played twice, but I've heard clearview rc sim is a good way to go for a heli sim. It's 40 bucks from www.rcflightsim.com

Thanks for the info, I will checkout Clearview. i like how its uber cheap, has a demo, and works with game controllers, hopefully game controllers work in the demo, unlike the G3 demo which leaves you with only the keyboard for controls, might as well made it autopilot only, the keyboard is about useless w/ the one and helo in the demo.

Tried out the Demo. i have an Xbox 360 wired controller on my PC, although it has dual analoge sticks I found control very dificult. it was nearl impossible to increase the throttle without having problems with the rudder going oneway or another. Same with the Elevator controls. The USB Rc Flight controls on E-Bay are only $20, plus $40 for the siim and your looking at $60, this uts it at less than one third the cost of the G4.
Only thing I didn't really like about it was how small the models apeared in the Sim, they to quickly got to small to ba able ot control them at any distance, I am sure that the Zoom controls will help this, but with the G3 Demo I didn't have this problem at default settings.
I am an avid Gamer and have a fairly powerful system:
AMd Opteron 180, dual core 2.4ghz CPU
2gigs PC3200 Memory in dual channel
ATi X1800XT 512meg video card
Creative audigy 2 ZS
750gigs of HD space
22" Widescreen monitor.
I got a system powerful enough to run both Sims at max settings without problems. Only thing I dont have that is recomended on the G4 s the 4 gigs of ram, and sense I don't have Windows Vista 64bit theres no reason for me to have any more than 2 gigs, as 32bit operating systems cant use 4gigs of memory properly.

Trim problems, I think you need a tx for, models appearing too small, go into the settings menu, and up the zoom
