I am going to get the school bus body from parma in about a week. Can any one tell me how to paint it to look like a normal school bus. This is going to me my first time painting these types of bodies so I need stuff like the paint i need, the tools, and what steps to take in order to paint it right.

First thing ........take your TIME!!!!!!!
Don't try to finish it fast, or the results will suffer. Always was hthe body prior to painting. I use standard dish soap, scrubbing it with a mild abrasive sponge. I rinse it out with as HOT as tap water i can, then dry it with a paper towel. Then, to ensure its all dry, i blow it out with compressed air.
Now, masking.
On a Bus, this is pretty straight forward, as it is yellow, black stripe, windows. I like to use a SHARP x-acto knife, with a new blade,...and blue painters tape. Lay down your blue tape, cut it to fit the windows, ect., then take a ball point pen, or something similar, and burnish the tape,...or rub it down. Make sure you get al lthe corners too. If you flip the body over, and view the tape from the outside, you will see a noticable shade in color change from where its rubbed down, and not.
First color-
if you are using cans, or airbursh, mist the first color in very lightly. Allow to dry. repeat this 2-3 more times, and yo uwill begin to see the color come in. Remember, multiple light coats prevents two things,...bleeding under the tape, and a uniform coating of paint. Also, if you are spraying your black center stripe, bumpers, ect....this is the FIRST color!!! Black will bleed thru and darken lighten colors, so pray dark first.
Repeat this process for the next colors you use, then repeat once more with your backing color, typically, white.

Thanks for that and let me see if i got this right.
1.wash with HOT water and dish soap then dry with paper towels
2.mask everything except the parts I want black
3.Paint the black parts
4.Mask off everything except the parts I want yellow
5.Paint the yellow parts
6.back it all with white
