Hello, My name is Dan Myshrall Jr.
I am a 43 year old (going on 10) Husband,Father of 3 ,grandfather of two living in central Maine.
I have begun to construct an outdoor oval that will be paved in the early spring.
Well I don't normally post on message boards or forums but If this has even a remote (play on words) chance of being successful it's going to require a lot of work from more people than my current army of one!
My quandary is this: My "field of dreams" so to speak is not shared by those closest to me, in fact they might even consider it a pipe dream. To bad for them because my dedication to this project is strong and it is going to happen! I don't have bottomless pockets full of money, I don't have mega corporate R/C gurus making giant contributions to my cause I simply have a passion for R/C period and that passion has provoked this construction and that passion will see this project thru.
I have read with much disappointment many "new track coming soon" posts that never went any further than the post itself. I am dedicated to seeing to it that this is not the case with Old Cedar Speedway .
I am not here today to solicit money. I am not here today to shout my own praises I am looking for interest from real R/C ers that have some passion for the game. I am recruiting input from both track owner/operators that are successful and those who were not successful. The whys and why not's.
I am looking for like minded people that have made the same commitment as I have here .
The web site to the track as rough as it is should be up and running by 2/16/08. watch this thing grow. www.oldcedarspeedway.com
Thank you for your time and thanks to this site for the space.

Dan Myshrall

Its good to see another track coming to Maine.
Being a Maine resedent I know the lack of trackes in the state.
I'm in Farmington and dont know if I'll ever make it to Pitston, but I wish you good luck, and hope you can turn the na say'ers minds around.
There is a major lack of RC action in Maine and with guys like you around maybe more intrest can be struck up.
Good luck with the track.

P.S.
Not much of an onroader myself more into offroad. Are you building an offroad track as well?

I have to confess I was never much of an off roader but about a month ago one of my neighbors convinced me to get a T-maxx so I did and have done a ton of mods to it . Plenty of room for off road here so yes in time their will be off road as well.
Keep an eye on this outfit things are going to start happening fast.
Thanks.

It would be a lot easier to get this freak'n track paved if it would stop snowing for five minutes!
Check out the newer web site. some pics of my boy and my racers.

I'm in Bath. We're racing mini coopers on road this winter in Falmouth and York. Looking to go to nitro trucks for the summer. We'll be up when you get open. From my perspective you might be wise to offer a class for off roaders running on street tires.

We will run any class that can produce enough participants.
If you want to run t-maxx or anthing else is fine with me.
You might even want to become the class organizer and representative of the class.
Go to the website forum www.weracerc.com and see if you can generate some interest and I will support your efforts.
Thanks
Dan
