It is with great sadness, that I report to you all that my dear friend and MAN contributor George Leu passed away last Sunday Feb. 17, 2008. George had been a contributor for many many years and was the columnist for the Scale Techniques column. He was also an accomplished scale competitior at serious national levels and was a very active jet pilot and promoter of theJet Pilot's Organization and a past president of the organization.
I knew George for close to 20 years and considered him my best friend. He was a very positive and sincere person and was always giving of himself. he helped modelers when ever the need was there and he was a big supporter of my biplane meet hosted by the Central CT RC Club in Farmington, CT. He never missed the event, no matter how hard it rained. Everyone who knew George knows he was a kind and gentle person with soo much to life for. My sincere condolenses go out to his faimly and friends. I will miss him terribly.
