Club racing....anything goes, I guess.

ROAR, RC Pro Series, etc...check their rules. I've heard the same thing, though. Clear windows. So they can make sure you don't have a chipmunk on a wheel under there!

windows need to be clear as accordance to the BRCA rules and im sure ROAR will say the same. they need to be able to check your equipement on the grid without takin shell off etc etc. that and that they say a car MUST look identical to a real car - how many real cars you seen with matt-black windows

hehe, take care,

I have some extra tint from my 1:1 scale truck.
Can that be used on a lexan body, and is there any special prep work to be done to make sure it bonds to the lexan?

It is "legal" tint, so it should be OK...

on 1:1 cars, i hate tinted windows,if i get a truck or car with tinted windows that are non factory, off that tint comes,my 1992 gmc has factory tint in the back window and my friends 1996 s 10 blazer has factory tint and i hate it.,lol

Look at a photo of a normal 1:1 car driving down the road. Even though the windows are clear and not tinted, they appear (in the photo) to almost be black. I think clear windows on a touring car body don't look 100% right, they are too clear, if you know what I mean.

Tamiya has a nice window tint lexan spray. Put a nice light coat of that on the inside of the body/windows and IMO it looks more accurate and nicer. You can still see through it to check the equipment. By the way, I cracked up thinking about a little chipmunk on a wheel under the body :D
