Does this Losi have reverse?

Does this Losi monster bug have reverse? It looks like the LST2 engine and tranny but it does not say if it has reverse. It is alot cheaper than the LST2. Why?

It's cheaper becuase some of the parts are a little cheaper, ie plastic shock bodies instead of aluminum, and a slightly lesser radio than the LST2.

As for reverse, per the Team Losi site, I would say it does not. I looked and it specifically calls out the reverse feature on the LST2, but not on this truck or the Aftershock, which the monster bug is based on.

It looks to be missing the high and low range adjuster, and the reverse gears.

Just to confirm, there is no reverse or hi/low adjuster.
That being said, you really don't need the reverse. The only real complaints I have about the bug are the seemingly under-engineered one-way bearing for the 2-speed and the pipe You'll end up with an LST2 set of gears on there relatively quickly. The pipe is also just junk. I mean, it runs and produces fuel tank pressure but that's about it. It does nothing to quiet the engine at all and doesn't help in the horsepower department either. From what ones I've driven, it pretty much has trouble accelerating in 2nd gear on level flat ground. Put a better exhaust on it though, and everything changes.

Great thanks. Can I put the LST2 transmission on this Bug and get the reverse to work? Or would it be better to just get a LST2? Will the Bug body fit on the LST2?

Yes, but just buy the LST2 outright if you really want reverse. The body fits fine, just need longer rear posts. There are significant upgrades throughout the chassis and drivetrain that can make it worthwhile, depending on how you drive it.
