I was thinking about putting a Brushless system in my Duratrax BX since it is such a piece of **** in stock form...I have a Velineon system sitting here so my question is will I blow the Transmission up?

Most likely, so just make sure you take a video of it.

might be ok i would set the diff tight if its a ball diff which it might not be.

Also be careful driving under high tracktion conditions as you might grind some gears.

this is where you need a slipper.

The evaders have a ball diff and a slipper. I would think you'll see some problems with your diff though.

I've heard of people using Associated B4 gearboxes on their Evaders when using brushless and it stands up a LOT better. If I'm not mistaken, it was precisely the diff from an RC10B4/T4 and also the idler gear, although I could be wrong.

Good luck

thank you very much, I will look into that. I think that it will be a good performer with some power behind it...It is a fun car just slow and no power stock..

As long as you have a decent slipper clutch, you should be fine with a moderatre brushless system. I would recomend a SideWinder 4600. On 6 cells it will do over 30 mph with ease. On 2S LiPo, close to 40 with the right gears. And if you get bored with that, the motor and ESC are fully rated to take 3S LiPo, and you can gear it for over 60 mph of insanity. Mild to Wild with a single system.

Thats Pretty cool....I just bought the sidewinder/ 4600 system. That is what I thought originally, but I had a velineon sitting around and that is to much, I know.. but was going to do it anyway...I went with the 4600 I ordered it Saturday...
