Wondering if shortening the wires to remove old connectors will effect the ESC? Only cutting about a 1/4" off Thanks!!!

I have actually heard that if you shorten brushless wires excessively, you may encounter more issues with smooth operation, but 1/4" shouldn't have any effect unless the wires are already 2" long :D.

Nah. Shorter wires means less resistance and generally better performance. If your wires are too long, then you run into issues (more resistance, higher chance of cogging, etc.). Longer wire lengths also mean the capacitors may blow.
