for racing go bow tie (offroad) for an alll around tire i like the vantage racing tire. whatever your favorite proline rim is what i would get. beadlocks are very nice and save money down the road

If you're bashing hard it's worthwhile to go up to 17mm wheels now. They dont strip out as easily. If you have 14mm you can use the Maximizer adapters for $4 to run 17mm.
If you stick with 14mm then I like my 40 series wheels with Mashers.
