I bought a pair of Nike's once, just once. Never again! They fell apart within 2 weeks. I've got an old pair of tennies from K-Mart that have lasted me for years and were only $10.00 at the time. I still keep thewm aorund for when I have ot get my feet wet to launch or retrieve boats.
