Giving one of these guys a shot. I ordered a 36x50mm 4800kv V2.
Info can be found at medusaproducts.com
I'll post how it goes over at RC-monster and over here during the summer.:)

I guess all those books for school are already purchased lol! BTW, I'm a ME with a P.E.'s license (California licensed, but still good here inFL). If you need any help with physics 2, 3 or any of the math up through diff eq's, send me a PM.

YUP! I have a full ride here with the exception of housing, and my parents pay for housing (Florida Prepaid College Plan to be exact).
This is also coming out of my own pocket, not my scholarship money (spreadsheets are my friend).:D Not having a car and the associated insurance/gas costs to go with it certainly helps with me having money to spend on occasion, and that's why I worked my tail off over the last summer; for spendin' money (WOO!!). I figure I better do it now though; next year I'm getting a Dakota R/T, and let's just say it doesn't exactly sip fuel. Hehehe. I think I earned this motor; it's been a LONG semester.
Thanks for the offer on the math/physics stuff too. I'll definitely keep that in mind. Some of my professors suck (physics 1 for example; the guy is extremely apathetic and just doesn't like teaching us or something). I'm actually doing better in calc 2 than in calc 1 though. I think I'll pull off an A this semester if I do decently on the last test and final (got a B in calc 1; I got lucky, as most people got C's in that class).:):):)
BTW, you wouldn't happen to work for Lockheed, Boeing, or any other aeronautics related company would you? (Trying to form as many connections as possible in the aerospace world; heck, any engineering connections are good!:D)

Update for anyone who was wondering (cut and paste from RC-monster).
Ok, just got back from an approximate 15-20 minute run with the 4800 kv 50mm medusa V2 motor.
It's about 78 degrees out, sun was going down, and a relatively light breeze.
Model Setup:
-Rustler w/ RPM a-arms and swami bar (so maybe a tad heavier than a stock rustler due to the wheelie bar, which is a huge hunk of aluminum for the most part).
-Proline Road Rages all around
-Geared at 23/87 for a FDR of about 10.3:1 (by my speed calculator, it's about 35mph if voltage under load is about 7.4 volts)
-Battery was a Trinity 4500mah 2s lipo
-Full steel transmission (thank you RC-monster;)) and full ball bearings
Mamba Max setup:
-Custom timing, 12 degrees
-70% brake
-50% reverse
-Propotional throttle with reverse lockout
-Low start power
-0 punch control or drag brake
-6.2v cutoff
Results:
Motor temperature- 125F
Battery temperature- ~120F
ESC temperature (has a 5v Novak fan on it)- 98F
Overall impression:
This motor is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! It runs cool, it has plenty of torque, and it's super smooth. The truck just runs better overall, and this motor seems like it'll be perfect to run during the summer when temperatures hit high 80s and low 90s.
If anyone is considering one of the 50mm motors for a 1/10 truck like a Rustler, CRT .5, or anything else small, go for it! Well worth the money IMO.
