About had enough with running regular packs in my XXXT Mamba 7700.. I somewhat of a noob and I've learned alot off here and by trial and error... How do Tamiya connectors work on 7 cells with a Mamba!!! damn near a fire... Well my truck has everything now done right and I'm ready to get some better performance from my packs so I'm going Li-Po. That Mamba just plain kills my used up packs. I don't race, just play around on my practice track and bash some. I don't need a high end charger (I think?) but If I'm going to spend the money on 3 nice Li-Po packs I might as well do it right. What would you guys buy??? Thanks

As vanilla ice would say "ice ice baby"
But there are other chargers too, and I've heard alot about hyperions.
There are also Lipo only chargers that are cheaper, around 40 bucks.

The ICE will do you very well. I have the big brother Checkpoint version, and there is really no difference when you are using LiPo's, but with all it's great features, it does no balance charge your LiPo. I am using Max Amps Methjod balancer with it and they do work very well together.
If you don't have anything that will charge a LiPo, you ight want to look into a charger that can balance while charging all in one. Hyperion sells the EOS0606i that would probably be my first choice and the price is quite good as well. Max Amps sells it here

and for a little more, the AC/DC version if you don't have a solid power supply

I already had two chargers that could do LiPo, so I just bought the balance and packs. I need another balancer, but for the price, I am certainly looking at this charger instead.

Thanks.. Looks like this will be my charger. Read around and it seems everyone had nothing but good things to say about it. Roger
