Can someone please put up some pictures of their throttle setup for their outboards. I know I am missing a piece because every time I turn the engine the throttle moves so I know I need a part and I know where i can get it; however, I'd like to see a few different options before I decide what i'm going to choose.

I have taken my time with this boat it is an International Hobbies/AMPS Tunnel Hull with an 11cc K&B.

One other question I have it how are you supposed to turn on the engine??? I'm totally new to nitro boats.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks Tyler

Here are a couple of older pics of my throttle setup. Since it's too cold here to worry about running my boat yet, I haven't gotten it down to get a better picture for ya plus my motor is an OS, not a K&B. As for 'Turning it on', I'm not sure what you mean. To start it, you need a glow plug ignitor & some way to spin the motor - I prefer an electric starter. The electric starter has a rubber cone-shaped cup on the end that fits onto the metal cone on the top of the motor. Just remember to hook up your starter 'backwards' to spin the motor in the right direction - black wire to positive & red wire to negative since these motors spin opposite when compared to an airplane motor which these starters were originally made for.

HAHA...my apologies I meant "How to Turn it OFF"...thus far I have just crimped the fuel line....is that correct?

You can crimp the fuel line, but I have my throttle servo set so that when I have it all the way down, the motor will die. In other words, with my radio at normal trim, the engine will idle & if I hit reverse, the motor will die. This is great for shutting the boat down while it's in the water - like when retreiving your boat or because of some emergency like a radio glitch & you need to shut it down ASAP.
